Wanna know how to recruit more people in network marketing?
This is a question that plays on every network marketers mind throughout their careers.
After all. When you want to hit the next rank in your company, it’s important as a leader to become good at consistently recruiting new team members.
Where all network marketers start is with friends and family. But if you’ve been doing this for any amount of time, you know that you run out of friends and family real fast.
Then what?
Time to pitch as many random strangers, hoping they sign up right?
I recall being at company events and trainers would coach us on how to strike up conversations with people we met in our day-to-day lives. Everyone from waiters, shop assistants, people at the gym, people at work or at the family get-together.
I actually became pretty good at it. So good in fact that I almost always got their phone numbers.
I was so good I even got many of these people to meet up with me for “coffee meetings” where I would show them my amazing network marketing opportunity.
Some….and I really mean SOME, would even sign up with me. But the majority did not.
The problem was that I was using a “shotgun” approach trying to hit as many people as possible. After all, my trainers said “Show More People”
So that’s what I did. I showed as many people as I could. And I had average success using this approach
I used the same idea when trying to recruit people online.

I remember watching a training on Youtube where the guy said that if you want to succeed, reach out to at least 10,000 people in 30 days
Let me break this down for you. He’s strategy, was that you message at least 333 people per day on Facebook, every month.
From those 10,000 you needed to pitch at least 3,000 of them your network marketing opportunity and from there a certain percentage would be interested.
In the end, his idea was that by the end of the 30 days you would recruit at least 20 to 30 people….IF you speak to 10,000 people every month.
Now let me tell you. If you have never tried this, I dare you to give it a go for just ONE WEEK and see how time consuming and frustrating it is.
Not to mention, you probably will not get anywhere close to messaging 333 people a day.
And good luck keeping track of all those conversations and not getting blocked by Facebook.
I tried it for a few months. I did not get to 333 per day. But I did get to about 75 people per day.
Let me tell you….it is not easy! And it is also NOT how the top earners in network marketing spend their days, although they would like you to think it is
The problem with this SHOTGUN method of recruiting where you try to just speak to anyone and everyone is that you go through lots of rejection.
And quite frankly, most people would rather give up before they even try to give it a go. Because most people are scared speaking to strangers and hate being rejected and judged.
There is an easier way of doing this however.
Ready to learn how to recruit more people in network marketing?
Let’s go…..
1. Recruiting for the Product vs recruiting for the Business Opportunity
When it comes to recruiting the right way, it’s important to understand the business model you’ve decided to be apart of…….
In any network marketing opportunity you have 2 things that you’re selling
One is a product or service (eg. skin care products, weight loss product, forex product, travel product etc)
Two is the business opportunity. The chance to make some extra money.
You cannot market both options to the same people
Understand that some people will be interested in the product, while others will be interested in the business opportunity
It’s quite rare that you’ll find people interested in both the product and the business opportunity.
So your marketing needs to address this
As a start, my recommendation is to focus (at first) on just one of the two options.
Either the product or the business opportunity. Not both
One thing I know about myself for example, is that I am personally motivated by the business opportunity that network marketing offers. The promise of passive income which will allow me to earn an income even when I am not actively working
This is the reason I very rarely become passionate about joining product based companies promoting for example skin care or weight loss products. I don’t use or need most of the products so I cant be passionate about them
Not to mention I think most network marketing products are over-priced and filled with hype.
In the same way. Some of your prospects out there will not be interested in the latest bio hacking, or skin care or weightloss product if they feel they do not have a need for it. And no amount of convincing on your part will make them change their minds
Instead. Offer them what they ARE INTERESTED IN

Now. Once you’ve decided on whether to focus on promoting the business opportunity or the product;
Understand that your next move is NOT to spam, message or pitch people about what you’re offering
I know. You’re wondering then. “How will I recruit more people in network marketing if I don’t tell them about it?”
Hold on. That’s what we’re getting to…..
For now. Before you read any further;
DECIDE on whether you will be promoting the product or the business opportunity.
Got it?
Great. Let’s move forward
2. Who Needs This and what is the PROBLEM they want solved or the DESIRE they want to achieve?
So. You decided to market either the product or the business opportunity of your network marketing business….
Next. I want you to really think about WHO would be interested in what you plan on promoting
When I was promoting my last network marketing company (which offered forex education as the product), I knew for example that people interested in learning how to trade forex would be most interested in this product
So if you decide to promote the product of your MLM and you have a skin care product to market. The people with problematic skin might be interested in the product right?
If you choose to market the business opportunity, then people following Robert Kiyosaki for example, might be interested in earning passive income (because his books speak alot about earning passive to achieve financial freedom).
Really dig in and ask yourself what problems they have or what end solution these people are looking for.

So for example. I knew that people who trade forex typically do not know where to start, they don’t know how to assess forex trading charts, they blow their trading accounts, they lose money, they get scammed online, they lack the skills to trade successfully and they are looking for ways to overcome these problems.
Got it?
Once you have an understanding of this. Then you move onto finding where these people hang out
3. Where do they hang out
The internet is an amazing place
There are online communities for almost every passion or interest under the sun
Looking for people interested in cycling. There are cycling forums and groups
Searching for people interested in Yoga For Men? You can find these communities as well

So your next goal is to identify at least 10 places or social media pages where your ideal prospect will most likely hang out
Do you have your list?
Now join those groups and communities and start giving value and BUILD RELATIONSHIPS.
Don’t pitch and spam these communities with offers to join your business because then they will kick you out or ignore you. You cannot have any selfish motives here.
Your job is to find these communities with the mindset that you intend to help people.
Great. Now it’s time for you to create an Offer.
4. Create a specific offer
At this point you might be thinking….
“Create an offer? Don’t I just offer them my network marketing opportunity / product?”
No. You don’t pitch them your network marketing opportunity
Remember, you want to learn how to recruit more people in network marketing. The problem you have however is that these people you’re meeting have no idea who you are.
So they DO NOT TRUST YOU…..
If you try to immediately pitch them something where they need to spend money, chances are, they will say “No”

So what can we do to build trust with people online?
You create an irresistible offer
Remember you have a list of the problems and solutions that your ideal prospect has from a previous step
Now that you have that. Choose a problem or a few problems and create an offer solving that problem
For example. I knew that people did not know how to start trading forex or how to assess trading charts
So the offer I created was a FREE mini 3 day course that promised to teach people how to start trading the forex market in less than 72 hours
That was my irresistible offer
And who would be interested in an offer like this? Only people who are actually interested in learning about the forex market
The beauty of this approach is that you get rid of the wrong people upfront. So I will not have to deal with people who think that forex trading is a scam. Or people who have no interest in learning how to trade forex
I will only ATTRACT the right people to my free training. Which means less chance of rejection.
If you’re thinking that you don’t have the skills to teach people about whatever your product is about. Think again. You can find someone to teach the class who does have experience.
Think about it like this….
Ever watch your favorite television show and see the host of the show bring on “guest experts”?

In the same way, YOU ARE THE HOST of your own brand and your own show. And you can be an expert on a particular topic.
But to satisfy the needs of your viewers, you can also bring on other guest experts to teach your audience as well
This is the secret to how you build your own brand and how you build trust with people that do not know you.
It’s also the secret on how to recruit more people in network marketing as well
You give them free value by helping them solve a problem
But. Separate the offer you create for product buyers versus business opportunity buyers. They are not the same and don’t have the same problems
So create different Free offers for each group
5. Promote your FREE Offer
Now. Once you have created your free offer it’s time to promote it
Notice again that I’m not suggesting (as yet) that you promote your network marketing offer
Not yet at least.
First promote your free offer to the people you found in the groups and pages.
If you did this right, you should have people following you or people that became your friends on Facebook who have previously shown an interest in the product or service you have to offer
You attract these people by putting out content that they would be interested in

So if for example you were trying to sell a skin care product. You would be creating content daily about how to care for your skin
Now people interested in this topic begin to follow you
And as they engage and enjoy your content, you could tell them that you have a free webinar coming up where they can learn how to slow down the ageing process and have younger looking skin for longer
If you have a guest expert you could do little interviews giving little teasers of what you’ll be covering in the free webinar or even the free e-book that you will be giving away
No mention is ever made of the network marketing company / product at all
Just promote your free offer
If you are technical you could even create a landing page and autoresponder sequence (ie. emails) using software which automates the whole process
Or….just do it manually. That’s also fine
One thing I highly recommend however is creating a Facebook group where you can build your own online community
6. Create your own Facebook Group
Once you start promoting your free offer, I highly suggest starting up your own Facebook group
The group will be for your own audience. Basically all the people who are interested in the topic you’re speaking about
The group is important because this is where you can also host your free offer/webinar
Once you deliver the free offer, the group gives people a place to comment and engage with you so that you can build trust with them on a daily or weekly basis
Deliver value through a short challenge
Ideally you want to spend about 3 to 5 days providing value to your new group of targeted prospects
You could also host weekly webinars lasting just one day
This will allow you to really build trust with them, where they can feel like you’re the person that can solve all their problems on the particular topic that they have opted in to learn about
During this time you engage with them. Answer their questions and show a genuine interest in wanting to help them
Actually be sincere about this.
That is why it’s good to decide beforehand whether the company you decided to promote actually offers the type of products or services that you can literally put your name to.
Because people will end up trusting your opinion
And your responsibility is to make sure you only offer them genuine products and services that can actually help them
7. Make an offer
Finally, we get to where you can make an offer to your audience now.
Once you have spent some time delivering value to people. You can then tell them that for those who want to take their learning further they can attend another private session with you happening in a few days time
This is where you can now invite them to another webinar where you can show them your network marketing offering.

If you did all the other steps correctly up to this point you should have built trust with your community.
Pay special attention however.
If you were product focused in your free offer (eg. teaching about skin care issues), then be sure to make your network marketing presentation more product focused as well, instead of speaking too much about the business opportunity.
An if you focused more on the business opportunity during your free training (because you attracted an audience more interested in making money), then make sure your presentation is more about how to make money with the business opportunity side.
Final Thoughts On: How to Recruit More People In Network Marketing
Selling anything, whether online or offline requires a certain degree of trust between people
In a world where more and more people are being scammed out of their hard earned money, they have rightfully developed a certain degree of skepticism, especially in the online world where you never know who is on the other end of the transaction
For this reason you have to choose a different approach when doing business online.
People are more likely to spend some time to get to know you first before handing over their money. And this is great news for those marketers that have the best interest of their customers in mind
Offer people real solutions to their problems and you’ll never be stuck again asking yourself how to recruit more people in network marketing….
Because the answer is simple…
Offer more value and you will recruit more people
Sincerely,
